{"id":12370,"date":"2023-06-23T03:58:51","date_gmt":"2023-06-22T22:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=12370"},"modified":"2025-03-30T09:00:09","modified_gmt":"2025-03-30T03:30:09","slug":"pm-kisan-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/pm-kisan-app\/","title":{"rendered":"PM KISAN App"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>PM KISAN App:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The newly launched application <strong>has the feature of face Authentication.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>From this app farmers can complete e-KYC remotely, sitting at home easily by scanning their face without OTP or fingerprint.<\/li>\n<li>The app was designed and developed by the <strong>National Informatics Centre<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Key facts about PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>Central Sector scheme with 100% funding<\/strong> from the Government of India.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> The scheme aims to <strong>supplement the financial needs of the farmers<\/strong> in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benefits and Eligibility Conditions:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the scheme an income <strong>support of 6,000\/- per year<\/strong> in three equal instalments will be provided to all land-holding farmer families.<\/li>\n<li>The definition of family for the scheme is husband, wife and minor children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>State Government and UT administration<\/strong> will <strong>identify the farmer<\/strong> families which are eligible for support as per scheme guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>The fund will be directly <strong>transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The following categories of beneficiaries shall not be eligible for benefits under the scheme:\n<ul>\n<li>All Institutional Landholders.<\/li>\n<li>Farmer families which belong to one or more of the following categories:<\/li>\n<li>Former and present holders <strong>of constitutional posts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Former and present Ministers\/ State Ministers and former\/present Members of LokSabha\/ RajyaSabha\/ State Legislative Assemblies\/ State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.<\/li>\n<li>All superannuated\/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000\/-or more (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff \/ Class IV\/Group D employees) of the above category<\/li>\n<li>All Persons who paid <strong>Income Tax in the last assessment year<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carry out profession by undertaking practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the National Informatics Centre?<\/h3>\n<p>The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is a premier information technology organization in India that provides e-governance support and services to the government at various levels.
