This difference became one of the principal reasons behind the strike call.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Other Major Demands<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Five-Day Work Week<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most prominent unresolved demand, apart from the PLI issue, is implementation of a five-day work week for bank employees.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bank employees had proposed in 2024 that daily working hours be increased by 40 minutes so that the total number of working hours per week would not decline.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The proposal has remained pending with the government.
