400;\">In the 1980s, the global population was estimated at several million individuals, and it was thought to be \u201cthe most abundant large bird of prey in the world\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of 2021, the global population was estimated at <\/span><b>less than 6,000 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mature individuals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main <\/span><b>reason for this big decline<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a medicine called <\/span><b>diclofenac<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This medicine, <\/span><b>used for farm animals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>poisons the vultures when they eat dead animals.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It causes their<\/span><b> kidneys to fail.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>White-Rumped Vulture <\/b><b>Features<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has an <\/span><b>unfeathered head and neck,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> very <\/span><b>broad wings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>short tail feathers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adults are 75 to 85 cm tall, their wing span is 180 to 210 cm, and their weight ranges from 3.5 to 7.5 kg.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sexes are approximately equal in size.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:
