The <\/span>Asian Games 2026 Indian Cricket Team<\/b> will compete in<\/span> Nagoya, Japan,<\/b> with India defending the gold medals won in both men\u2019s and women\u2019s cricket at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. The women\u2019s cricket competition is being held from September 17 to 22, while the men\u2019s tournament will run from September 24 to October 3. Both competitions will be played in the T20 format.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the Asian Games?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The<\/span> Asian Games<\/b> are a <\/span>continental multi-sport event held every four years<\/b>, bringing together <\/span>athletes from across Asia<\/b>. The <\/span>20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026<\/b>, are being <\/span>held in Japan from September 19 to October 4,<\/b> with competitions taking place across Nagoya and other venues in Aichi Prefecture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cricket at the Asian Games<\/b><\/h2>\n

Cricket made its Asian Games debut at Guangzhou 2010.<\/b> It was also included at Incheon 2014, absent from Jakarta 2018, and returned at Hangzhou 2022. <\/span>The <\/span>2026 edition will therefore mark the fourth appearance of cricket in the last five Asian Games.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Asian Games 2026 Cricket Venue<\/b><\/h2>\n

The cricket competition is being played at the <\/span>Nisshin Cricket Ground in Korogi Sports Park, located in Nisshin on the outskirts of Nagoya. <\/b>The venue is hosting both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s competitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Format and Qualification<\/b><\/h2>\n

The men\u2019s and women\u2019s tournaments follow different competition structures, with the men\u2019s event beginning with a preliminary group stage and the women\u2019s event starting at the quarter-final stage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
