style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OECD has become the latest global body to raise its growth forecast for India recently, predicting that India\u2019s economy will grow by 7.1% in 2026-27, up from the 6.3% forecast earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an international organization established with the aim of fostering economic growth and development among member countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>succeeded <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC), <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which focused on<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">distributing Marshall Plan aid post-World War II.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>convention <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">establishing the OECD was <\/span><b>signed <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on Dec. 14, <\/span><b>1960<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, by<\/span><b> 18 European countries, the United States, and Canada <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and went into effect on Sept. 30, 1961.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OECD members are<\/span><b> typically democratic countries that support free-market economies.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The organization&#8217;s <\/span><b>activities encompass <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a wide range of areas, including <\/span><b>trade, industry, agriculture, and environmental protection<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with a focus on sustainable development.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>governance structure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> consists of the <\/span><b>OECD Council, the OECD Secretariat,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight:
