text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a series of <\/span><b>surface-to-surface ballistic missiles <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">developed in the <\/span><b>United States.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is manufactured by the US defense company <\/span><b>Lockheed Martin.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ATACMS was first developed by the U.S. in the 1980s to rival the former Soviet Union\u2019s long-range artillery and missile systems.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also <\/span><b>designated M39 by the US Army, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and its <\/span><b>Department of Defence (DoD) designation is MGM-140.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The missile <\/span><b>first saw use <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">during the <\/span><b>1991 Persian Gulf War.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
