It provides government officials with continuous opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and behavioural competencies required for effective public service delivery.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform supports <\/span><b>anytime, anywhere and any-device learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, allowing government officials to access training and learning resources according to their roles and requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">iGOT Karmayogi brings together <\/span><b>self-paced courses, assessments, discussions, learning resources and other capacity-building activities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on a common digital platform.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform follows a <\/span><b>competency-driven and role-based approach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, moving away from a purely rule-based training system. The focus is on developing the competencies required for performing specific roles effectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Karmayogi Bharat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) responsible for owning, managing and maintaining the iGOT Karmayogi platform and related digital assets on behalf of the Government.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Karmayogi Bharat was incorporated on <\/span><b>31 January 2022 under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as a <\/span><b>100% Government-owned, not-for-profit company<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It began functioning in July 2022.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform has expanded significantly. As of <\/span><b>July 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, more than <\/span><b>1.70 crore users<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> had been registered, with over <\/span><b>5,600 courses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> available in <\/span><b>23 languages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Features of iGOT Karmayogi Platform<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">iGOT Karmayogi is designed as an integrated digital ecosystem rather than simply an online repository of training courses. Its major features include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Digital learning platform:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It provides government employees with access to courses covering <\/span><b>domain, functional and behavioural competencies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, helping them improve skills relevant to their responsibilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Role-based learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Learning is increasingly linked to the specific roles, responsibilities and competencies required by government officials, supporting the broader shift from <\/span><b>rule-based to role-based capacity building<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Multilingual learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The platform provides courses in multiple Indian languages, making capacity-building opportunities more accessible to officials across different regions. As of July 2026, courses were available in <\/span><b>23 languages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Continuous learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> iGOT promotes the idea of <\/span><b>lifelong learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, allowing officials to continuously upgrade their professional, functional and behavioural competencies rather than depending only on periodic classroom training.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Assessments and certifications:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The platform supports assessments and course completion certificates, helping track participation and learning outcomes. It seeks to transform civil service capacity building by moving from a <\/span><b>rule-based approach to a role-based and competency-driven approach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>iGOT Karmayogi is the digital backbone of Mission Karmayogi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, providing the technological platform through which large-scale capacity-building and learning activities can be delivered.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mission Karmayogi focuses on developing civil servants who have the appropriate <\/span><b>Attitude, Skills and Knowledge (ASK)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to perform their roles effectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of its important principles is the <\/span><b>70-20-10 model<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: around <\/span><b>70% of learning through on-the-job experience, 20% through interaction and learning from others, and 10% through formal training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mission seeks to connect <\/span><b>individual learning goals with organisational objectives and career development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, thereby making capacity building more relevant to actual job requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also promotes <\/span><b>continuous and lifelong learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, rather than treating training as a one-time activity during an officer&#8217;s career.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The institutional framework includes the <\/span><b>Capacity Building Commission (CBC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Karmayogi Bharat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with Karmayogi Bharat serving as the custodian and manager of the iGOT digital platform.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mission Karmayogi covers government employees across ministries, departments and organisations, while State and Union Territory governments are also being brought into the framework through systematic implementation arrangements.
