{"id":12690,"date":"2026-03-29T11:08:30","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T05:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=12690"},"modified":"2026-03-30T12:53:27","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T07:23:27","slug":"satpura-tiger-reserve-str","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/satpura-tiger-reserve-str\/","title":{"rendered":"Satpura Tiger Reserve"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Satpura Tiger Reserve Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A tiger from Madhya Pradesh\u2019s Satpura Tiger Reserve (STR) has been allegedly poisoned to death leading to the arrest of five people in the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Satpura Tiger Reserve<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Location:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is located in the <\/span><b>state of Madhya Pradesh.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>situated in the Satpura ranges<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Central Indian Landscape.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It lies <\/span><b>south of the river Narmada.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tiger reserve <\/span><b>comprises three protected areas,<\/b> <b>Satpura National Park, Bori Wildlife Sanctuary,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Pachmarhi Sanctuary.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Terrain:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The terrain here is extremely rugged and consists of <\/span><b>sandstone peaks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, narrow gorges, ravines, and dense forests.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Geological formations include the <\/span><b>Deccan trap series, Gondwanas, and metamorphic rocks.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Vegetation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It mainly consists of mixed deciduous forest with a variety of flora typical of the Central Indian Highlands.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Flora:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It includes teak, bamboo, Indian ebony, various acacias, wild mango, Indian gooseberry, satinwood, etc.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twenty-six species of the Himalayan region and 42 species of the Nilgiri areas are found.
