{"id":127152,"date":"2026-10-01T12:52:36","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T07:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=127152"},"modified":"2026-10-01T12:52:36","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T07:22:36","slug":"national-coastal-mission-2-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-coastal-mission-2-0\/","title":{"rendered":"National Coastal Mission 2.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Coastal Mission 2.0 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change launched the Guidelines for implementation of National Coastal Mission (NCM 2.0), in New Delhi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Coastal Mission 2.0<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Central Sector Scheme.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">subsume the previous version National Coastal Mission (NCM 1.0) which was <\/span><b>implemented from 2021-22 to 2025-26<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> NCM 2.0 aims at <\/span><b>strengthening the resilience and sustainability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><b>India\u2019s coastal regions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and unlocking the <\/span><b>potential of the <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/blue-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\">Blue economy.<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Financial Outlay: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has an approved outlay of \u20b9767 crore.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Time Period:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It would be <\/span><b>implemented for the period from 2025-26 to 2030-31.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Nodal Ministry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for Environment, Forest and Climate Change<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Geographical Coverage<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Mission activities will be implemented in the <\/span><b>Coastal States and UTs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>9 Coastal States:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>4 Union Territories:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman &amp;
