rather than predictable or coached responses.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>UPSC at 100: Institutional Evolution<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first Public Service Commission in India was constituted on <\/span><b>1 October 1926<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as an advisory body.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the following decades, it evolved into an style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Civil Services Examination is conducted annually for recruitment to services including the <\/span><b>IAS, IFS and IPS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: decisions when information is incomplete or competing considerations are involved.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This approach reflects the nature of public administration, where civil servants frequently have to deal with complex situations that may not have predetermined solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chairman also emphasised three principles for the Commission&#8217;s next phase: <\/span><b>trust, transparency
