rules for alternate investment funds (AIF).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About SWAMIH Fund<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Special Window for Affordable and Mid-Income Housing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SWAMIH) Investment Fund I was <\/span><b>set up in 2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to rescue stressed real estate projects by providing debt financing for stalled housing projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Fund is <\/span><b>sponsored by the Ministry of Finance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Government of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Fund Managed by:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is managed by SBICAP Ventures Ltd<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Category-II AIF<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Alternate Investment Fund) debt fund registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SWAMIH Fund is considered the lender of last resort for distressed projects for established developers with troubled projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Eligibility Criteria for Funding<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Real estate projects must be <\/span><b>registered under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) 2016.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project must be classified as a <\/span><b>non-performing asset<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NPA) or be under insolvency proceedings.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project should have been declared as a <\/span><b>\u201cstalled\u201d or \u201cdelayed\u201d project<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by a competent authority.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fund is available only for projects that fall under the affordable and
