aria-level=\"1\"><b>Vengalil Krishnan Krishna Menon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was born on<\/span><b> 3 May 1897 in Calicut<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (present-day Kozhikode), Kerala, into a family with a legal background.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He studied at <\/span><b>Madras Presidency activities in Britain, where he worked to build support for Indian independence.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As <\/span><b>Secretary of the India League<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, he cam<\/span><b>paigned for India\u2019s independence and opposed British colonial rule.<\/b><\/li>\n<li
