{"id":128079,"date":"2026-10-08T13:29:40","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T07:59:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=128079"},"modified":"2026-10-08T13:29:40","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T07:59:40","slug":"josh-joint-squad-for-health-teams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/josh-joint-squad-for-health-teams\/","title":{"rendered":"JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) Teams"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) Teams Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Centre will launch JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) Teams across 55 districts in 11 states to strengthen youth-led community mobilisation for tuberculosis elimination, the Union Health ministry said recently. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) Teams<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">JOSH Teams have been designed to <\/span><b>channel the reach and energy of India\u2019s youth <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">into organised <\/span><b>community action for <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/tuberculosis-elimination-in-india\/\" target=\"_blank\">TB elimination<\/a>.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is being undertaken by the <\/span><b>Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>Ministry of Defence.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will bring together <\/span><b>Class-I officers, MY Bharat volunteers,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ncc\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>NCC cadets<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to drive community-level engagement against TB.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">JOSH teams will be rolled out across <\/span><b>55 districts in 11 states <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the <\/span><b>first phase of the campaign.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>During the first phase<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the initiative will focus on <\/span><b>engagement at the block, ward, and community levels,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> taking the TB Mukt Bharat message beyond health facilities and closer to local communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The teams will <\/span><b>disseminate information on TB symptoms, prevention, timely diagnosis, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and completion of <\/span><b>treatment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They will also contribute to efforts to <\/span><b>address myths and misconceptions surrounding TB, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reduce stigma, and encourage individuals, families, and communities to participate actively in the national TB elimination movement.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>News:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/health\/government-to-strengthen-youth-led-community-mobilisation-for-tuberculosis-elimination-12149533\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><b>NDTV<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) Teams have been designed to channel the reach and energy of India\u2019s youth into organised community action for TB elimination.
