


{"id":128206,"date":"2026-10-09T15:05:24","date_gmt":"2026-10-09T09:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=128206"},"modified":"2026-10-09T15:05:24","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T09:35:24","slug":"conservation-assured-tiger-standards-objectives-latest-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/conservation-assured-tiger-standards-objectives-latest-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards, Objectives, Latest News"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Nameri Tiger Reserve in Assam has secured the Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards (CA|TS) Approved status.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>global framework designed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to assess the effectiveness of <\/span><b>tiger reserve management and protection.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched at the 1st <\/span><b>Asian Parks Congress in Japan in 2013.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CA|TS is a global certification system that ensures effective management specifically of tiger conservation areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It sets benchmarks for <\/span><b>protection, habitat management, community involvement<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and wildlife monitoring.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CA|TS helps <\/span><b>identify strengths and improvement areas within reserves<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, supporting efforts to create safe, sustainable environments for tigers and preserve global biodiversity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Assessment Structure<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CA|TS consists of <\/span><b>seven pillars<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Importance and status, Management, Community, Tourism (optional), Protection, Habitat management, Tiger populations) and <\/span><b>17 elements<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with standards and criteria for managing tiger conservation areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Five of these <\/span><b>pillars are applicable to conservation area <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">management in general and represent the Conservation Assured (CA) aspect of the scheme;
