{"id":129205,"date":"2026-10-16T14:32:45","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T09:02:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=129205"},"modified":"2026-10-16T14:32:45","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T09:02:45","slug":"hornbill-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/hornbill-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Hornbill Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Hornbill Festival Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Nagaland has begun preparations for the 27th edition of the iconic Hornbill Festival.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Hornbill Festival<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was first organized <\/span><b>in the year 2000.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to promote <\/span><b>inter-tribal interaction<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and preserve <\/span><b>Nagaland\u2019s heritage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, blending the traditional with the contemporary in a harmonious display of unity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was initially began as a three-day event, was subsequently expanded to five days and then to ten days, which coincides with <\/span><b>Nagaland\u2019s Statehood Day<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on <\/span><b>December 1,<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is celebrated at <\/span><b>Naga Heritage Village<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Kisama which is about 12 km from Kohima in <\/span><b>Nagaland.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>named after the Hornbill bird<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> given its association with the socio-cultural life of the Nagas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also called the <\/span><b>festival of festivals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and is <\/span><b>held every year.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Organised by:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is organized by the <\/span><b>State Tourism and Art &amp;
