{"id":12931,"date":"2025-06-16T12:31:45","date_gmt":"2025-06-16T07:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=12931"},"modified":"2025-06-16T16:35:20","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T11:05:20","slug":"scores-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/scores-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"SCORES Portal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>SCORES Portal Latest News<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capital markets regulator Sebi resolved 4,493 investor complaints through its online grievance redressal platform SCORES last month.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>About SCORES Portal<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SCORES, or the <\/span><b>SEBI Complaints Redress System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is an online platform launched in 2011 that enables investors to <\/span><b>file and track complaints against listed entities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and SEBI-registered <\/span><b>market intermediaries.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per the upgraded SCORES 2.0 framework, <\/span><b>complaints are automatically directed to the concerned entities,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which are <\/span><b>mandated to respond with<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> an <\/span><b>Action Taken Report (ATR) within 21 days. <\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b style=\"font-size: inherit;\">If the investor is dissatisfied<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the response, they<\/span><b style=\"font-size: inherit;\"> may seek a First Level Review within 15 days.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During this review period, complaints <\/span><b>remain classified as pending<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>even if an ATR <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has already been <\/span><b>submitted<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>In cases<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where the <\/span><b>grievance remains unresolved following<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the <\/span><b>First Level Review,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> investors have the <\/span><b>option to escalate the matter to SEBI <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">f<\/span><b>or a Second Level Review.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>complaints may be closed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> if the <\/span><b>investor opts for resolution through <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>Online Dispute Resolution (<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ODR) mechanism.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thus, the SCORES Portal enables market intermediaries and listed companies to receive complaints online from investors, redress such complaints, and report redressal online.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>An investor who is not familiar with SCORES<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or does not have access to SCORES <\/span><b>can lodge complaints in physical form<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at any of the offices of SEBI.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\">Such complaints <b style=\"font-size: inherit;\">would be scanned and also uploaded in SCORES <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for processing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/markets\/news\/sebi-resolves-over-4-400-complaints-through-scores-portal-in-may-125061500615_1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BS<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SCORES Portal is an online platform that enables investors to file and track complaints against listed entities and SEBI-registered market intermediaries.
