SAMHiTA\u2019s goal is to <\/span><b>consolidate information<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> dispersed across institutions <\/span><b>on an online platform accessible to all.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>information collected <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be <\/span><b>shared on PANDiT: Prosopographical Database of Indic Texts and Records<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a<\/span><b> database on South Asian intellectual history.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initiative is being <\/span><b>undertaken by the India International Centre in New Delhi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with <\/span><b>grant assistance from the Government of India <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and is <\/span><b>supported by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to digitise ancient manuscripts and preserve their historical, religious, and cultural knowledge for future generations.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the<\/span><b> first attempt<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to <\/span><b>bring together repositories from outside India and South Asia<\/b> <b>on a common platform. <\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>News: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/ddnews.gov.in\/en\/samhita-project-strengthening-india-sri-lanka-cultural-ties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><b>DD<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SAMHiTA Project aims to digitise ancient manuscripts and preserve their historical, religious, and cultural knowledge for future generations.
