{"id":130952,"date":"2026-10-28T13:44:42","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T08:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=130952"},"modified":"2026-10-28T13:46:35","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T08:16:35","slug":"national-startup-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-startup-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"National Startup Awards 6.0 Launched with \u20b925 Lakh Prizes Across 20 Sectors"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Startup Awards Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has launched the 6th Edition of the National Startup Awards (NSA 6.0)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Startup Awards <\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>flagship initiative launched in 2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/startup-india\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Startup India initiative<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to recognise innovation and entrepreneurship and strengthen India\u2019s startup ecosystem.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It provides a national platform to <\/span><b>recognise entrepreneurial excellence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and showcase innovative solutions addressing critical challenges across sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It recognises startups demonstrating outstanding performance in <\/span><b>innovation, scalability, sustainability and socio-economic impact.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nodal Ministry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Commerce and Industry<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>National Startup Awards 6.0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NSA 6.0 edition aims to encourage participation from startups across States and Union Territories, including <\/span><b>emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will recognise innovation, entrepreneurship and excellence across <\/span><b>20 sectoral categories and three special award categories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This edition introduces <\/span><b>12 new sectoral categories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biomanufacturing; Consumer Industries; Defence &amp; Security; Rural Economy, Traditional Industries &amp; Livelihoods; Education &amp; Skilling; Electronics, Semiconductors &amp; Advanced Manufacturing; Sports, Fitness &amp; Sports-Tech; Future Mobility &amp; Automotive; Ocean &amp; Blue Economy; Space-Tech, Drones &amp; Aerospace; Telecom, Connectivity &amp; Digital Infrastructure; and Travel, Tourism &amp; Hospitality.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The three <\/span><b>special award categories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Women-Led Startups<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups from the North-Eastern Region<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Innovator \/ Aspiring Entrepreneur<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Award Money<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Winning startups across the <\/span><b>20 sectoral categories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>two startup-focused special categories <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be eligible for a cash prize <\/span><b>of \u20b925 lakh per category<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Student Innovator \/ Aspiring Entrepreneur<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Award will carry a <\/span><b>total prize pool of \u20b925<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lakh across four sub-categories.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition this award seeks to <\/span><b>facilitate mentorship, investor engagement<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, market access, industry partnerships and enhanced visibility within India\u2019s startup ecosystem.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleaseDetail.aspx?PRID=2329132&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has launched the sixth edition of the National Startup Awards (NSA 6.0) to recognise innovation and entrepreneurship across India.
