{"id":13171,"date":"2026-09-22T11:40:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T06:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=13171"},"modified":"2026-09-22T15:28:31","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T09:58:31","slug":"exercise-nomadic-elephant-bilateral-joint-military-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-nomadic-elephant-bilateral-joint-military-exercise\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise Nomadic Elephant"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise Nomadic Elephant Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 18th edition of the Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2026 commenced at the Foreign Training Node in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise Nomadic Elephant<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an <\/span><b>annual joint military exercise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> conducted alternatively in <\/span><b>India and Mongolia.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>last edition<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the exercise was conducted <\/span><b>at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To <\/span><b>enhance the joint military capability of both sides<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to undertake Counter-Insurgency Operations in <\/span><b>semi-urban and mountainous terrain<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the United Nations Mandate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Focus of Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2026<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It focuses on <\/span><b>tactical-level operations, exchange of best practices,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> refinement of operational drills and enhancement of interoperability between the two armies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The training curriculum will include <\/span><b>Cordon and Search Operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Room Intervention Drills, <\/span><b>Special Heliborne Operations, Cyber Security Training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and employment of drones and counter-drone systems, among other activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These drills will provide troops of both Armies an opportunity to train together in realistic operational scenarios and strengthen their ability to operate jointly.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleaseDetail.aspx?PRID=2313046&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise Nomadic Elephant  is an annual joint military exercise conducted alternatively in India and Mongolia.
