Guru is a peak i<strong>n the Arbuda Mountains of Rajasthan.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Rivers: Three major rivers and their tributaries flow from the Aravalli, namely Banas and Sahibi rivers<\/strong> which are tributaries of Yamuna, as well as <strong>Luni River which flows into the Rann of Kutch.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Formation<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>It is <strong>part of the Aravalli-Delhi orogenic belt,<\/strong> which is a large and complex geological structure <strong>formed due to the collision of tectonic plates during the Proterozoic era.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>part of the Indian Shield <\/strong>that was<strong> formed from a series of cratonic collision<\/strong>s.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In ancient times, Aravalli were extremely hig<\/strong>h but s<strong>ince have worn down <\/strong>almost completely by millions of years of weathering.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The range is <strong>rich in mineral resources<\/strong> like copper, zinc, lead, and marble.<\/li>\n<li>It is d<strong>ivided into two sections: the Sambhar-Sirohi ranges, taller <\/strong>and including Guru Shikhar; <strong>and the Sambhar-Khetri ranges, consisting of three ridges<\/strong> that are discontinuous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What is a fold mountain?<\/h3>\n<p>A fold mountain is a type of mountain that forms when rock layers are subjected to compressive forces, causing them to bend and buckle.
