Today, <strong>Christianity<\/strong> (mainly Baptist and Presbyterian) is the <strong>dominant religion.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>They have <strong>typical Tibeto-Burman features<\/strong> and are generally of short-stature with straight black hair and dark brown eyes.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About Hmar Tribe<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Hmar tribe, also called <strong>Mhar or Mar<\/strong>, are the dwellers of the <strong>northeastern part of India.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The word &#8220;Hmar&#8221; literally means &#8220;north&#8221;.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>They live in the northeastern states of <strong>Manipur, Assam, Mizoram, Megalaya, and Tripura<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>They belonged to the<strong> Chin-Kuki Mizo group<\/strong> of tribes.
