Members applying as \u201c<strong>individuals\u201d should have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 members<\/strong> in their Group.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All other applicants<\/strong> (Startups, MSME, etc.) <strong>should apply under the \u201corganization\u201d<\/strong> category only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Desired features in an Indian web browser:<\/strong> The <strong>ministry has also laid down<\/strong> the <strong>features desired<\/strong> in an Indian web browser.\n<ul>\n<li>It must be <strong>compatible with all platforms,<\/strong> including iOS, Android and Desktop.<\/li>\n<li>It should <strong>offer built-in accessibility support<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The browser should also have the <strong>ability to digitally sign the documents using a crypto token.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It should also have <strong>parental control and a web filter for child-friendly browsing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It should come <strong>with support for Web3 and compliance with W3C standards<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Lastly, it should also <strong>support all the official Indian languages<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Key Facts about Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA):<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Information Technology Act 2000 (IT Act) provides<\/strong> <strong>for<\/strong> <strong>the CCA<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Function<\/strong>: To <strong>license and regulate the working of Certifying Authorities (CAs)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>CAs<\/strong> <strong>issue digital signature certificates for electronic authentication of users.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The CCA <strong>also maintains the National Repository of Digital Certificates (NRDC),<\/strong> which <strong>contains all the certificates issued by all the CAs <\/strong>in the country.<\/li>\n<li>Its <strong>aim is to promote the growth of e-Commerce and e-Governance<\/strong> <strong>through a wide use of digital signatures.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) <strong>is appointed by the Central Government under section 17 of the IT Act.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What are digital signatures?<\/h3>\n<p>A digital signature is a cryptographic technique used to authenticate the origin and integrity of electronic documents, messages, or data.
