Reserve<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is situated in the Pilibhit and Lakhimpur Kheri districts of <\/span><b>Uttar Pradesh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, forming part of the<\/span><b> Terai Arc Landscape,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the <\/span><b>upper Gangetic Plain.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It lies along the <\/span><b>India-Nepal border<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the foothills of the Himalayas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Rivers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/gomti-river\/\" target=\"_blank\"> River Gomti<\/a> originates <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from the PTR, which is also the <\/span><b>catchment <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of several others <\/span><b>Swamp Forests<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and T<\/span><b>ropical Semi-evergreen Forests <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are the major forest types found in the reserve.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Flora<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/sal-tree\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Sal<\/a> woodland <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is very dense with good natural regeneration, amounting to almost <\/span><b>76% of the reserve area.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other trees like <\/span><b>teak, khair,
