{"id":14023,"date":"2023-08-15T07:59:44","date_gmt":"2023-08-15T02:29:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=14023"},"modified":"2025-04-02T09:17:02","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T03:47:02","slug":"one-district-one-product-wall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/one-district-one-product-wall\/","title":{"rendered":"One District One Product wall"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About<\/strong> <strong>One District One Product Wall<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The One District One Product (ODOP) program is an initiative <strong>under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)<\/strong>, Ministry of Commerce &amp; Industry.<\/li>\n<li>Under this <strong>Collaboration- products are being identified from all districts to be promoted<\/strong> for their unique qualities and cultural significance which include various handicrafts, handloom, and agricultural products that have been associated with the identity of their place of origin.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objectives of ODOP:<\/strong> To help districts reach their full potential, foster economic and socio-cultural growth, and create employment opportunities, especially, in rural areas.<\/li>\n<li>This initiative aims to <strong>turn every district in India, into an export hub<\/strong> through promotion of the product in which the district specialises.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The initiative plans to accomplish this by scaling manufacturing, supporting local businesses, finding potential foreign customers and so on, thus helping to achieve the \u2018Atmanirbhar Bharat\u2019 vision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Key facts about DAY-NRLM<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is one of <strong>the flagship poverty alleviation program.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>It<\/strong> aims at creating efficient and <strong>effective institutional platforms<\/strong> for the rural poor, enabling them to increase household income through sustainable livelihood enhancements and improved access to financial services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Universal Social Mobilisation:<\/strong> At least one woman member from each identified rural poor household, is to be brought under the Self Help Group (SHG) network in a time bound manner.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participatory Identification of Poor (PIP):<\/strong> All households identified as poor through the PIP process is the NRLM Target Group and is eligible for all the benefits under the programme.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community Funds as Resources in Perpetuity:<\/strong> NRLM provides Revolving Fund (RF) and Community Investment Fund (CIF) as resources in perpetuity to the institutions of the poor, to strengthen their institutional and financial management capacity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the National Rural Livelihoods Mission?<\/h3>\n<p>The National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) is a flagship program of the Government of India aimed at alleviating rural poverty by promoting self-employment and wage employment opportunities for rural households.
