{"id":14029,"date":"2025-12-07T13:54:44","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T08:24:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=14029"},"modified":"2025-12-08T16:13:40","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T10:43:40","slug":"technology-development-fund-tdf-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/technology-development-fund-tdf-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Technology Development Fund (TDF) Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Technology Development Fund (TDF) Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Defence Research and Development Organisation has handed over seven technologies developed under the Technology Development Fund (TDF) scheme to armed forces.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Technology Development Fund (TDF) Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been established to promote <\/span><b>self-reliance in Defence Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as a part of the \u2018Make in India\u2019 initiative.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It encourages the participation of public\/private industries, especially MSMEs and startups, so as to create an ecosystem for enhancing cutting-edge technology capability in the defence sector.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nodal Ministry:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ministry of Defence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding Support<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project cost of up to <\/span><b>INR 50 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be considered for funding.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The funding may be up to 90% of the total project cost.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Project Duration:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The maximum development period will be <\/span><b>four (4) years.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Eligibility criteria for <\/b><b>Technology Development Fund (TDF) Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Entity Type:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A public limited company, a private limited company, a partnership firm, a limited liability partnership, a one-person company, or a sole proprietorship registered as per applicable Indian laws registered in India especially MSMEs and Startups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The industry must be owned and controlled by a <\/span><b>resident Indian citizen.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An entity with <\/span><b>excess of 49 percent foreign investment<\/b> <b>not be eligible.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Start up<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups must be recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) as per Government of India (GOI) guidelines.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups incorporated for less than three years from date of submission of application will be considered as nascent startups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A nascent Startup should be incubated at one of the Central\/State government assisted incubators.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups should not have received any grants\/grants-in-aid by any government scheme for a similar technology.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>startup<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> must be <\/span><b>owned and controlled by a Resident Indian citizen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a shareholding of at <\/span><b>least 51%.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2199589&amp;reg=1&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Technology Development Fund Scheme  has been established to promote self-reliance in Defence Technology as a part of the \u2018Make in India\u2019 initiative.
