{"id":14269,"date":"2026-10-23T13:23:05","date_gmt":"2026-10-23T07:53:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=14269"},"modified":"2026-10-23T14:16:34","modified_gmt":"2026-10-23T08:46:34","slug":"pm-daksh-yojana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/pm-daksh-yojana\/","title":{"rendered":"PM-DAKSH Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>PM-DAKSH Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment said that a total of 1,87,305 candidates were trained and 96,162 placed under the Pradhan Mantri Dakshata Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi (PM-DAKSH) scheme between 2020\u201321 and 2023\u201324,<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About PM-DAKSH Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Pradhan Mantri Dakshata Aur Kushalata Sampanna Hitgrahi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (PM-DAKSH) Yojana, is a <\/span><b>Central Sector Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that was launched <\/span><b>during 2020-21.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To <\/span><b>provide skills<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through <\/span><b>good quality institutions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> so that candidates from its target group can find employment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Target Group:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 <\/span><b>Scheduled Castes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Other Backward Castes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Economically Weaker Sections<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the De-notified Tribes in India (DNTs), \u2018<\/span><b>Safai Karamcharis\u2019 or waste pickers.<\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Eligibility<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Age:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 18-45 years<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Family Income:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> OBC and EWS candidates must have a family income <\/span><b>below Rs. 3 lakh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while there is no income limit for SC, DNT, or Safai Mitras\/Waste Pickers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been merged with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/pradhan-mantri-kaushal-vikas-yojana-pmkvy\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are four types of skill development training programmes under this namely, Up-skilling\/Re-skilling, Short Term Training Programmes, Long Term Training Programmes, and Entrepreneurship Development Programme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Implementation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is implemented through the <\/span><b>National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NSFDC), <\/span><b>National Backward Classes Finance &amp; Development Corporation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NBCFDC) and <\/span><b>National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(NSKFDC).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Nodal Ministry: <\/strong>Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ddindia.co.in\/2026\/10\/pm-daksh-trained-1-87-lakh-candidates-placed-over-96000-merged-with-pmkvy-to-avoid-duplication\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DD News<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PM-DAKSH Scheme 2020-21 supports skill development and jobs for disadvantaged groups.
