{"id":14345,"date":"2023-09-07T11:34:18","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T06:04:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=14345"},"modified":"2025-04-02T19:58:41","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T14:28:41","slug":"malaviya-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/malaviya-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the Malaviya Mission?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Malaviya Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It aims to provide tailored training\u00a0<strong>programmes for teachers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>This programme will work for the\u00a0<strong>capacity building of faculty members in higher educational institutions (HEI).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It will ensure continuous professional development and help in\u00a0<strong>building capacities of 15 lakh teachers\u00a0<\/strong>of HEIs through 111 Malaviya Mission centres across India in a time-bound manner.<\/li>\n<li>It aims to improve\u00a0<strong>the quality of teachers\u2019 training<\/strong>, build leadership skills in teachers and help realise the goals of NEP<\/li>\n<li>The capacity building under the Mission will be mapped to the\u00a0<strong>credit framework<\/strong> to ensure career progression pathways for educators.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Indian Knowledge System<\/strong> has been included in the modules of the Programme.<\/li>\n<li>Human Resource Development Centres to be revamped and known as\u00a0<strong>Madan Mohan Malaviya Teachers Training Centres.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Key facts about Madan Mohan Malaviya<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>He was an Indian\u00a0<strong>educationist and a Freedom Fighter<\/strong> and a moderate leader.<\/li>\n<li>He was elected as the president of\u00a0<strong>Indian National Congress four times.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>He attended the Round Table Conference in 1931.<\/li>\n<li>He founded the\u00a0<strong>Hindu Mahasabha<\/strong> in 1906.<\/li>\n<li><strong>As an Educationist:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>He\u00a0<strong>founded Banaras Hindu University<\/strong> (BHU) at Varanasi in 1916, which was created under the B.H.U. Act, 1915.<\/li>\n<li>He was Vice Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University from 1919\u20131938.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Samkhya?<\/h3>\n<p>Samkhya is one of the six classical schools of Indian philosophy (also known as darshanas) and is considered one of the oldest philosophical traditions in India. It was founded by the sage Kapila and is primarily concerned with metaphysical and epistemological questions.
