the Indian Coast Guard<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>along the west coast<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It\u00a0<strong>involved all stakeholders<\/strong> of the Indian coastal security construct.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A total of 118 ships,<\/strong> including those\u00a0<strong>from<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Customs, Marine Police, Ports, and the Indian Navy, participated in the drill.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The drill\u00a0<strong>facilitates revalidation of the coastal security mechanism<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>brings awareness among the fishermen<\/strong> at sea.<\/li>\n<li>During the drill,\u00a0<strong>extensive checking and verification of documents and crew passes<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>of all fishing boats<\/strong>, barges and craft at sea was undertaken.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Biometric card readers\u00a0<\/strong>have also been<strong> issued to security agencies<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Besides monitoring of dhows<strong>, island security and
