{"id":15087,"date":"2023-09-22T04:43:01","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T23:13:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=15087"},"modified":"2025-04-03T08:30:18","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T03:00:18","slug":"ptp-ner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ptp-ner\/","title":{"rendered":"Promotion of Tribal Products for North East Region\u2019 (PTP-NER 2.0) scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Promotion of Tribal Products for North East Region\u2019 (PTP-NER 2.0) scheme:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a\u00a0<strong>Central Sector scheme<\/strong> which was launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vision:<\/strong> To strengthen livelihood opportunities for tribal artisans through increased efficiency in procurement, logistics and marketing of tribal products.<\/li>\n<li>It will be\u00a0<strong>implemented in<\/strong> the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.<\/li>\n<li>It is being implemented in two phases:\n<ul>\n<li>In the\u00a0<strong>First Phase<\/strong> of the scheme, 8 states and 38 districts were covered. Organisation of 64\u00a0<strong>Tribal Artisans Empanelment Melas<\/strong> (TAeM) were done by the teams of TRIFED and North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC).<\/li>\n<li>In the Second Phase of the scheme, 29 districts will be covered by the teams of TRIFED and NEHHDC to reach out to tribal artisans and showcase their cultural heritage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementing Partners:<\/strong> North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC), India Post under the Department of Posts, and other North Eastern State Government Departments\/ Agencies.<\/li>\n<li><strong>India Post<\/strong> will provide\u00a0<strong>logistics support<\/strong> in order to meet the scheme&#8217;s goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Central Sector Scheme?<\/h3>\n<p>A Central Sector Scheme is a type of government scheme or program that is fully funded and implemented by the central government of a country.
