(the animal group which includes jellyfish, sea anemones and coral).<\/li>\n<li>The Caribbean box jellyfish, or\u00a0<strong>Tripedalia cystophora<\/strong> is known to be able to navigate through\u00a0<strong>murky water<\/strong> and a maze of submerged mangrove roots.<\/li>\n<li>These gelatinous, fingernail-sized creatures are capable of\u00a0<strong>learning from visual cues<\/strong> to avoid swimming into obstacles.<\/li>\n<li>It has a\u00a0<strong>cognitive ability<\/strong> which is never seen before in animals with such a primitive nervous system.<\/li>\n<li>Their performance is called &#8220;<strong>associative learning<\/strong>&#8221; is comparable to far more advanced animals such as fruit flies or mice<\/li>\n<li>They have\u00a0<strong>four visual sensory centres called rhopalia<\/strong>, each of which has lens-shaped eyes and around a thousand neurons\u00a0<strong>which help in avoiding harm.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>They can respond to &#8220;<strong>operant conditioning<\/strong>\u201d i.e they can be trained to &#8220;<strong>predict a future problem and try to avoid it.&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Associative learning?<\/h3>\n<p>Associative learning is a fundamental concept in psychology and refers to the process by which an individual makes connections or associations between two or more stimuli, events, or actions.
