text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is located in the Kaimur District of <\/span><b>Bihar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is located in the famous <\/span><b>Kaimur Hills range.\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Kaimur Hills, known for their invincibility, are home to two <\/span><b>forts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>ancient Mundeshwari Temple, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one of the <\/span><b>oldest Hindu temples in India.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the<\/span><b> largest sanctuary in the state<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and occupies an area of about 1342 sq.km.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>bounded by the Son River <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to the north and the<\/span><b> Karmanasa River <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to the south.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>connected to <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>Bandhavgarh-Sanjay-Guru Ghasidas-Palamau tiger meta-population landscape<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through fragmented forest patches along the Son basin.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The valley part is filled with many <\/span><b>waterfalls<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> such as <\/span><b>Karkat and Telhar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and various lakes such as <\/span><b>Anupam Lake.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Prehistoric rock paintings,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stone inscriptions, and <\/span><b>monuments <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have also been discovered here.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Prehistoric murals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> found in the <\/span><b>&#8220;Lakhania&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and other hilly regions and the <\/span><b>prehistoric fossils of the Pre-Cambrian times<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the <\/span><b>&#8220;Salakhan&#8221; area<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> bear testimony to the ancient origin and existence of this region.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Oraon tribe<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is believed to have originated from this region.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Flora<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: A large variety of vegetation is found in the <\/span><b>mixed, dry, deciduous forests <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that cover the area, the primary tree vegetation being <\/span><b>Baakli, Mahua, Dhaak,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Bamboo.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Fauna<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The wildlife comprises of<\/span><b> Black Bucks, Chinkaras, Four-Horned Deers,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Blue-Bulls, Sambar, Cheetals, Bears, Leopards, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
