In general, all soils from sandy to laterite are well suited for this crop.<\/li>\n<li>It is very well adapted to Indian coastal area under hot humid conditions<\/li>\n<li><strong>Temperature:<\/strong> In the range of 20 to38 o C, relative humidity in the range of 60 to95 % .<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rainfall:<\/strong> Annual precipitation in the <strong>range of 2000 to 3500mm.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Extreme low temperature and frost are not conducive to raise cashew plantations.<\/li>\n<li>The cultivation of this crop is being extended to non-traditional areas in the plains of <strong>Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh<\/strong> and some parts of North East hill region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1:What is a geographical indication tag?<\/h3>\n<p>A geographical indication (GI) is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin.
