The standard has evolved and is now managed by RISC-V International.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>How does RISC-V work?\n<ul>\n<li>As an open-standard architecture, RISC-V is defined by member companies of RISC-V International, the\u00a0global nonprofit organization behind the ISA.<\/li>\n<li>The intent is that through collaboration, the\u00a0member companies can contribute new avenues of processor innovation while promoting new degrees of design freedom.<\/li>\n<li>It features a small core set of instructions upon which all\u00a0the design\u2019s software runs.<\/li>\n<li>The architecture allows\u00a0designers to customize and build their processor in a way that\u2019s tailored to their target end applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Benefits of RISC-V include:\n<ul>\n<li>Its\u00a0open-standard nature, which\u00a0allows collaboration and innovation across the industry.<\/li>\n<li>The entire RISC-V\u00a0architecture can be scrutinized closely in the public domain, eliminating back doors and hidden channels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Applications: Wearables, Industrial, IoT, and Home Appliances,\u00a0Smartphones, Automotive, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and Data Centers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is\u00a0Open-source technology<\/h3>\n<p>Open-source technology refers to software, hardware, or other technologies that are developed and distributed with an open licensing model.
