


{"id":16153,"date":"2024-11-25T01:55:03","date_gmt":"2024-11-24T20:25:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=16153"},"modified":"2025-04-03T22:42:25","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T17:12:25","slug":"cbse-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/cbse-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It aims to provide scholarships to <strong>meritorious female students<\/strong> who are the <strong>only children of their parents<\/strong> and have <strong>passed the CBSE Class X examination<\/strong> with <strong>60% or more marks a<\/strong>nd are <strong>continuing<\/strong> their further school education <strong>in Class XI and Class XII.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The scheme is aimed at recognizing the efforts of parents in promoting education among girls and to providing encouragement to meritorious students.<\/li>\n<li>It provides <strong>financial aid every month<\/strong> to the selected students, so they can continue their higher education.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant should be the <strong>single girl child<\/strong> of her parents and be an <strong>Indian national.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>To be eligible for the scholarship scheme, all single girl students must <strong>have 60 percent <\/strong>or more marks <strong>in the CBSE Class 10 Examination.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>They should be <strong>studying Class 11 and 12 in CBSE-affiliated schools<\/strong> with <strong>tuition fees not exceeding Rs 1,500 per month.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>NRI applicants<\/strong> of the Board are <strong>also eligible<\/strong> for the award. The <strong>tuition fee <\/strong>for the NRIs should be a <strong>maximum of Rs. 6,000\/- per month.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Students with <strong>gross parental\/family income up to Rs. 8 lakh per annum<\/strong> are eligible for scholarships under the scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scholarship amount:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Students who are selected for the scholarship will receive an amount of <strong>\u20b9500\/- per month.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The amount is payable for a maximum period of two years.
