{"id":16161,"date":"2023-10-22T12:23:05","date_gmt":"2023-10-22T06:53:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=16161"},"modified":"2025-04-03T22:45:28","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T17:15:28","slug":"indian-institute-of-corporate-affairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/indian-institute-of-corporate-affairs\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It was registered as a society on September 12, 2008\u00a0under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It is an institution established by\u00a0the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India.<\/li>\n<li>It is as an autonomous body act as a think-tank and a Centre of Excellence to support the growth of the corporate sector in India through an\u00a0integrated and multi-disciplinary approach.<\/li>\n<li>It offers its\u00a0capacity-building and advisory solutions through various Schools and Centres.<\/li>\n<li>The School of Business Environment at IICA works in the areas of Environmental-Social Governance (ESG), Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) and Business &amp; Human Rights (BHR).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Significance of the recent MOU<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It will synergise the expertise of the SCPwD and the IICA with the aim of equipping the\u00a0corporates in terms of knowledge, skills and competencies for building and managing a diverse workforce through the various entities created under the aegis of SCPwD and IICA.<\/li>\n<li>SCPwD, in collaboration with the IICA, will take the initiative through skill courses on\u00a0\u201cQualification \u2013 Job Coach for Inclusivity (JCI)\u201d programmes or otherwise in diverse areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Corporate Social Responsibility?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a concept that describes a company&#8217;s efforts to consider and integrate the social, environmental, and economic impacts of its activities into its business operations.
