{"id":16494,"date":"2026-09-29T12:36:40","date_gmt":"2026-09-29T07:06:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=16494"},"modified":"2026-09-29T15:48:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-29T10:18:15","slug":"kazind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/kazind\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise KAZIND"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise KAZIND Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 60-member Indian Armed Forces contingent departed for Oskemen, Kazakhstan, to participate in the ninth edition of the Exercise KAZIND.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise KAZIND<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>joint military exercise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> conducted between <\/span><b>India\u2013Kazakhstan.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Participating Contingent:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Indian contingent is drawn mainly from a <\/span><b>battalion of the GARHWAL RIFLES,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along with troops from other arms and services, and personnel from the <\/span><b>Indian Air Force.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>exercise aims to enhance interoperability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and strengthen the joint capability of both forces to undertake <\/span><b>Joint Counter-Terrorism operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a sub-conventional environment under a United Nations mandate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>KAZIND-2026 will focus on<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Joint Counter-Terrorism operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>semi-urban and mountainous terrain<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with an emphasis on joint planning and execution, air mobility and the integrated employment of Unmanned Aerial Systems and Counter-UAS capabilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participating contingents will train together in joint responses to <\/span><b>terrorist actions, raids, search-and-destroy missions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, cordon-and-search operations, the securing of helipads and landing sites, and <\/span><b>Special Heliborne Operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among other activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will further deepen <\/span><b>military-to-military cooperation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between India and Kazakhstan and reinforce the shared commitment of both nations towards regional <\/span><b>peace, stability and collective security.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleaseDetail.aspx?PRID=2315856&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise KAZIND is a joint military exercise conducted between India\u2013Kazakhstan.
