The\u00a0eggs of this chicken\u00a0are black as well.<\/li>\n<li>This chicken from the Jhabua district\u00a0also received the Geographical Indication (GI)\u00a0tag in 2018.<\/li>\n<li>It is known for\u00a0its high iron content and\u00a0much lower cholesterol than other breeds.<\/li>\n<li>It has a\u00a0high protein content and is considered\u00a0ideal for muscle repair and building.<\/li>\n<li>It is a\u00a0rich source of vitamins and minerals and is considered nutritional because of its\u00a0lean meat.<\/li>\n<li>In certain traditional systems of medicine, Kadaknath chicken is\u00a0believed to have therapeutic properties. It is often\u00a0claimed to be beneficial for individuals\u00a0with certain health conditions, such as\u00a0asthma and respiratory issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is a Geographical Indication (GI) Tag?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a\u00a0sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin.<\/li>\n<li>In order to function as a GI, a\u00a0sign must identify a product as originating in a given place.<\/li>\n<li>This is\u00a0typically used for agricultural products,\u00a0foodstuffs, wine and spirit drinks,\u00a0handicrafts, and industrial products.<\/li>\n<li>GI Tag\u00a0ensures that no one\u00a0other\u00a0than\u00a0those registered as authorized users\u00a0is allowed to use the popular product name.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Geographical Indications are\u00a0covered as a component of\u00a0intellectual property rights (IPRs)\u00a0under the\u00a0Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>At the international level, GI is\u00a0governed by the World Trade Organisation\u2019s (WTO\u2019s)\u00a0Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>In India, Geographical Indications registration is\u00a0administered by the\u00a0Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>This GI tag is\u00a0valid for 10 years, following which it\u00a0can be renewed.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0first product in India to be accorded the GI tag\u00a0was Darjeeling tea in the year 2004-05.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement?<\/h3>\n<p>The WTO Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) is the most comprehensive multilateral agreement on intellectual property (IP).
