{"id":16983,"date":"2023-11-15T06:00:15","date_gmt":"2023-11-15T00:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=16983"},"modified":"2026-02-06T12:25:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T06:55:07","slug":"one-station-one-product-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/one-station-one-product-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"One Station One Product scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About One Station One Product scheme<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an initiative by the Indian Railways, under the\u00a0Ministry of Railways.<\/li>\n<li>It was launched with a vision to\u00a0promote \u2018Vocal for Local\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>It provides uniquely designed sale outlets for locals to\u00a0sell indigenous products nationwide.<\/li>\n<li>This scheme is designed by the\u00a0National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.<\/li>\n<li>It aims to build each railway station as a promotional hub and showcasing local and indigenous manufacturing products.<\/li>\n<li>Under the scheme, the allotment is done to all eligible applicants on a rotational basis.<\/li>\n<li>The pilot of the scheme was started on March 25, 2022.<\/li>\n<li>This scheme is providing welfare of local artisans, potters, weavers, tribals etc.<\/li>\n<li>The eligible applicant will be allotted a temporary stall or kiosk for a period of 15 days on deposition of Rs 1,000 with Railways.<\/li>\n<li>Sale outlets are provided at stations nationwide, allotted through a tendering process.<\/li>\n<li>The zonal railways will identify the stations, eligible products and the vendors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Vocal for Local?<\/h3>\n<p>Vocal for Local&#8221; is a campaign or initiative aimed at promoting and encouraging the use and purchase of locally made or indigenous products.
