He was known as\u00a0Thairiyanathaswamy\u00a0and its translation reads as Veeramamunivar.<\/li>\n<li>Friendship with Chanda Sahib (Nawab of the Carnatic)\n<ul>\n<li>Chanda Sahib gifted Veeramamunivar four villages \u2014 Bokalur, Malwav, Arasur and Nullur \u2014 north of the Kollidam in Tiruchi district.<\/li>\n<li>He also appointed him to the\u00a0office of Dewan\u00a0(in Tiruchi till 1740).<\/li>\n<li>He also conferred on him the surname,\u00a0Ismattee Sannyasi, indicating his excellence as a religious devotee, and presented\u00a0him with a palanquin used by his grandfather.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Even though he was engaged in state affairs, Veeramamunivar continued his study of the\u00a0Hindu sciences and the composition of several useful works.<\/li>\n<li>He delved deep into\u00a0Tirukkural, Naladiyar, Civaka Cintamani and other celebrated Hindu works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Tirukkural?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a classic Tamil text consisting of 1,330 couplets (or two-line verses) written by Thiruvalluvar, a celebrated Tamil poet and philosopher.
