{"id":17076,"date":"2023-11-14T06:05:11","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T00:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=17076"},"modified":"2025-04-05T01:59:29","modified_gmt":"2025-04-04T20:29:29","slug":"aaina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/aaina\/","title":{"rendered":"AAINA Dashboard for Cities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About AAINA Dashboard for Cities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It would serve as a\u00a0tool for comparing similarly placed Urban Local Bodies (ULBs ) and promoting peer learning amongst ULBs.<\/li>\n<li>This dashboard will inspire the ULBs by pointing to possibilities and areas of improvement and providing them the opportunity to learn and engage with frontrunners.<\/li>\n<li>It aims\u00a0to create a robust database of the key performance metrics\u00a0of Urban Local Bodies,\u00a0which could be accessed by all stakeholders, and subsequently would open for public view once it gets populated.<\/li>\n<li>Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across the country can participate in this pioneering initiative to voluntarily submit their key data on a regular basis, through a simple, easy-to-fill, data entry form on the portal.<\/li>\n<li>Objectives\u00a0of the AAINA Dashboard are to help cities to\n<ul>\n<li>See how\u00a0they are faring vis-\u00e0-vis other cities.<\/li>\n<li>Inspire them by pointing to\u00a0possibilities and areas of improvement and<\/li>\n<li>Providing opportunity to\u00a0learn and engage with frontrunners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The Dashboard will present the data submitted by the ULBs on\u00a0the basis of indicators across five broad pillars namely,\n<ul>\n<li>Political &amp; Administrative Structure,<\/li>\n<li>Finance<\/li>\n<li>Planning,<\/li>\n<li>Citizen Centric Governance and<\/li>\n<li>Delivery of Basic Services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The ULBs will submit their data, including audited accounts, and self-reported performance metrics by logging in to the dashboard\u2019s portal.<\/li>\n<li>ULBs would be free to update the information initially provided by them, anytime on the portal as per need.<\/li>\n<li>The Dashboard has been envisaged as a permanent platform for ULB related data, that would be updated on a regular basis.<\/li>\n<li>The Ministry\u00a0through Digital India Corporation will provide handholding support to ULBs \/ States in the data submission process on a need basis.<\/li>\n<li>Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What are Urban Local Bodies (ULBs)?<\/h3>\n<p>These refer to the governing bodies responsible for local governance in urban areas. They are institutions that manage and administer specific cities, municipalities, or urban regions.
