{"id":17252,"date":"2025-03-01T04:57:58","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T23:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=17252"},"modified":"2025-04-05T03:07:16","modified_gmt":"2025-04-04T21:37:16","slug":"nasm-sr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/nasm-sr\/","title":{"rendered":"Naval Anti-Ship Missile Short Range (NASM-SR)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Naval Anti-Ship Missile (NASM-SR) Latest News<\/h2>\n<p>Recently, the Defence Research &amp; Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Navy carried out successful flight-trials of the first-of-its-kind Naval Anti-Ship missile (NASM-SR) from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur.<\/p>\n<h2>About Naval Anti-Ship Missile (NASM-SR)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It has a <strong>Man-in-Loop feature<\/strong> \u2013 which allows in-flight retargeting accurately.<\/li>\n<li>It was launched in <strong>Bearing-only Lock-on after launch mode<\/strong>, selecting a target among several in close vicinity.<\/li>\n<li>It uses an <strong>Indigenous Imaging Infra-Red Seeker<\/strong> for terminal guidance.<\/li>\n<li>It also uses an indigenous <strong>Fiber Optic Gyroscope-based INS<\/strong> and <strong>Radio Altimeter<\/strong> for its Mid-course guidance, an Integrated avionics module, Electro-Mechanical actuators for Aerodynamic and Jet vane control, thermal batteries and PCB warhead.<\/li>\n<li>It <strong>uses solid propulsion<\/strong> with an <strong>in-line ejectable booster<\/strong> and a long-burn sustainer.
