{"id":17320,"date":"2025-10-13T12:11:55","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T06:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=17320"},"modified":"2025-10-13T13:26:52","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T07:56:52","slug":"exercise-austrahind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-austrahind\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise AUSTRAHIND"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise AUSTRAHIND Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, an Indian Army contingent comprising 120 personnel departed for Irwin Barracks, Perth, Australia, to participate in the fourth edition of Exercise AUSTRAHIND 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise AUSTRAHIND<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an <\/span><b>annual joint military exercise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> held between <\/span><b>India and Australia.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This edition, Indian Army contingent is being led by a <\/span><b>Battalion of Gorkha Rifles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along with troops from other arms and services.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is aimed at <\/span><b>enhancing military cooperation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, improving i<\/span><b>nteroperability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and providing a platform for participating armies to exchange tactics, <\/span><b>techniques and procedures<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the domains of sub conventional warfare in <\/span><b>urban\/ semi urban terrain.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will focus on <\/span><b>joint company level operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>open and semi desert terrain,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> wherein troops will undertake missions ranging from joint planning, tactical drills and special arms skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will offer a valuable opportunity to hone operational capabilities, integrate emerging technologies and operate jointly in a combat environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other Exercises between India and Australia are <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ausindex-23\/\" target=\"_blank\">AUSINDEX<\/a>, and PITCHBLACK.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2178040#:~:text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise AUSTRAHIND is an annual joint military exercise held between India and Australia.
