In general, all soils from sandy to laterite are well suited for this crop.<\/li>\n<li>It is very well adapted to Indian coastal area under hot humid conditions<\/li>\n<li>Temperature: In the\u00a0range of 20 to38 o C, relative humidity in the range of 60 to 95%.<\/li>\n<li>Rainfall: Annual precipitation in the range of\u00a02000 to 3500 mm.<\/li>\n<li>Extreme low temperature and frost are not conducive to raise cashew plantations.<\/li>\n<li>The cultivation of this crop is being extended to non-traditional areas in the plains of\u00a0Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and some parts of North East hill region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>India, holds\u00a0the second-largest share in the world&#8217;s cashew nut production and export\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The country&#8217;s\u00a0top export destinations include the UAE, the Netherlands, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key facts about Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It was established by the Government of India under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act of 1985.<\/li>\n<li>It works under the\u00a0Ministry of Commerce and Industry.<\/li>\n<li>Objective: To develop and\u00a0promote the export of scheduled products.<\/li>\n<li>The products specified under the APEDA ACT are called scheduled products, and exporters of such scheduled products are required to register under APEDA.<\/li>\n<li>It provides financial assistance, information, and guidelines for the development of scheduled products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What Is Sandy Loam Soil?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a type of soil that is made up of sand, silt, and clay.
