Petals are pink, ovate to obovate curled at the tip.<\/li>\n<li>Its fruits are spherical, shining white, and are\u00a0used\u00a0in veterinary medicine.<\/li>\n<li>Habitat: In\u00a0subtropical forests, altitude 600-1800 m.<\/li>\n<li>Its flowers are complete, bisexual, i.e., with functional male (androecium) and female (gynoecium),<\/li>\n<li>It is a\u00a0critically endangered species as per the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.<\/li>\n<li>Global Distribution: Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar.<\/li>\n<li>In India\u00a0it is found in\u00a0Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.<\/li>\n<li>Threats: Saurauia species are\u00a0susceptible to various insect pests, virus and fungi, affecting leaves, fruits and roots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the International Union for Conservation of Nature?<\/h3>\n<p>It is the global authority on the status of the natural world and the measures needed to safeguard it.
