Unlike Oscars and Golden Globe awards, they\u00a0<strong>aren\u2019t given for films.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>These were conceived in 1948 and the first ceremony took place on\u00a0<strong>January 25, 1949.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Apart from the International Emmy Awards and the\u00a0<strong>Primetime Emmy Awards<\/strong>, the Emmys are also given in the following categories: daytime, sports, news and documentary, technology and engineering, and regional.<\/li>\n<li>While Primetime Emmy Awards honour television shows produced\u00a0<strong>only in America and aired during primetime,<\/strong>\u00a0International Emmy Awards are for international shows.<\/li>\n<li>Daytime Emmy Awards are given to American shows aired during late-morning and afternoon.
