species named Euphorbia ananthapuramensis, Euphorbia chalamensis, and Ceropegia andhrica, in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Euphorbia Ananthapuramensis<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a new <\/span><b>shrubby plant species.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was discovered in Nigidi Forest in the Sri Sathya Sai district, <\/span><b>Andhra Pradesh.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>grows among granite rocks in scrub forests<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at elevations of 450 to 550 metres.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About 80 individual plants were recorded within an area of around 2.5 sq km.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has <\/span><b>medicinal properties<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and is used by local tribal communities to treat wounds, skin diseases, and digestive disorders.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The species faces<\/span><b> threats from granite mining <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and Euphorbia Chalamensis<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>small annual herb.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was discovered in Chalama Forest in <\/span><b>Gundla Brahmeswaram Wildlife Sanctuary <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in Nandyal district, <\/span><b>Andhra Pradesh.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was found in <\/span><b>dry deciduous forests<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at elevations of 300 to 500 metres.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its population is limited to just over 100 individuals across about 2 sq km.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has <\/span><b>medicinal properties<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and is used by local tribal tuberous herb.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was discovered in Paderu forest division in Alluri Sitharamaraju district, <\/span><b>Andhra Pradesh.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was found in<\/span><b> open forest edges <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">at elevations above 1,000 metres.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About 200 individuals were recorded in less than one sq km.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plant is <\/span><b>leafless during flowering, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which <\/span><b>occurs after the first rains <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">between May and June, and <\/span><b>produces leaves later.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It produces<\/span><b> edible tubers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> roughly the size of small potatoes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span
