{"id":17817,"date":"2023-12-06T06:25:49","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T00:55:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=17817"},"modified":"2025-04-05T06:50:10","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T01:20:10","slug":"cyber-surakshit-bharat-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/cyber-surakshit-bharat-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the Cyber Surakshit Bharat Initiative?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Cyber Surakshit Bharat Initiative<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an\u00a0initiative of the\u00a0Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.<\/li>\n<li>It was conceptualised with the mission\u00a0to spread awareness about cybercrime and\u00a0build the capacities of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs)\u00a0and frontline\u00a0IT officials\u00a0across all government departments.<\/li>\n<li>It is an initiative\u00a0to fortify the cyber security system in India with regard to the Government\u2019s vision of a Digital India.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It was launched\u00a0in cooperation with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD)\u00a0and various\u00a0industry partners in India.<\/li>\n<li>It can be entitled as the\u00a0first public-private enterprise of its kind.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0partners involved in the origination of this scheme\u00a0include chief IT companies like Intel, Microsoft, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Operation:\n<ul>\n<li>It will be operated on\u00a0three principles:\u00a0education, awareness, and enablement.<\/li>\n<li>It will\u00a0comprise a program of awareness\u00a0on the\u00a0importance of cybersecurity.<\/li>\n<li>The scheme will also\u00a0include a number of workshops on the best enablement and practices of the officials with\u00a0cybersecurity health tool kits for the management and mitigation of cyber threats.<\/li>\n<li>It will also conduct a number of\u00a0training programs all over the country from time to time, which will be attended by CISOs and technical officials from the central government, state governments,\u00a0PSBs, UTs, PSUs, defense PSUs and\u00a0technical arms of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Deep-Dive training programme:\n<ul>\n<li>It specifically aims at\u00a0educating and enabling CISOs to understand cyber attacks\u00a0and get the necessary exposure to the latest technologies for safeguarding e-infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>The training focuses on providing a holistic\u00a0view of legal provisions,\u00a0enabling CISOs to\u00a0formulate policies for cybersecurity and build concrete cyber crisis management plans.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the National e-Governance Division (NeGD)?<\/h3>\n<p>In 2009, the National e-Governance Division was created by the Ministry of Electronics &amp; Information Technology as an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation.
