Garba thus becomes an all-encompassing participatory community event.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to being a\u00a0religious ritual, Garba fosters social equality by diluting socio-economic, gender, and rigid sect structures.<\/li>\n<li>It continues to be inclusive and participative by diverse and marginalized communities, strengthening community bonds.<\/li>\n<li>This dance form is\u00a0the 15th cultural\u00a0item from India to make it to the\u00a0UNESCO list.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is Intangible Cultural Heritage?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Cultural heritage does not end at monuments and collections of objects.<\/li>\n<li>It also includes\u00a0traditions or living expressions inherited from our ancestors and passed on to our descendants, such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe or the knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is UNESCO?<\/h3>\n<p>UNESCO is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It contributes to peace and security by promoting international cooperation in education, sciences, culture, communication and information.
