{"id":17900,"date":"2023-12-08T03:07:04","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T21:37:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=17900"},"modified":"2025-04-05T07:23:25","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T01:53:25","slug":"ai-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ai-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a\u00a0multi-stakeholder initiative which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities.<\/li>\n<li>It was\u00a0launched in June 2020.<\/li>\n<li>Membership in GPAI is\u00a0open to all countries, including emerging and developing countries.<\/li>\n<li>Member countries: At present it\u00a0has 28 member countries including the European Union.<\/li>\n<li>India\u00a0is one of the\u00a0founding members of GPAI.<\/li>\n<li>Secretariat:\u00a0Its secretariat is hosted at the\u00a0Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Paris.<\/li>\n<li>Structure\n<ul>\n<li>It has a Council and a Steering Committee.<\/li>\n<li>It has\u00a0two Centres of Expertise: One in Montreal and another in Paris.<\/li>\n<li>These Centres of Expertise will facilitate GPAI\u2019s four working groups and their research and practical projects, across various sectors and disciplines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The working groups will initially focus on\u00a0four themes:\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible AI\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Data Governance\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>the Future of Work\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Innovation and Commercialization\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)?<\/h3>\n<p>It is an international organisation of 38 countries committed to democracy and the market economy. OECD members are typically democratic countries that support free-market economies.
