Organisation has signed the \u201cfirst high-value deep tech project agreement\u201d with a start-up, collaborating for indigenous development of a dilution refrigerator under the Technology Development Fund (TDF) scheme.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Technology Development Fund Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been established to <\/span><b>promote self-reliance in Defence Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as a part of the \u2018Make in India\u2019 initiative.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It encourages the participation of public\/private industries, especially <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/msme\/\" target=\"_blank\">MSMEs<\/a><\/strong> and startups, so as to create an ecosystem for <\/span><b>enhancing cutting-edge technology capability in the defence sector.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Project Duration:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The maximum development <\/span><b>period will be four (4) years.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Nodal Ministry:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ministry of Defence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>executed by <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/defence-research-and-development-organisation-drdo\/\" target=\"_blank\">DRDO<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to promote self-reliance in cutting-edge defence and aerospace technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Funding Support<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>project cost of up to INR 50 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be considered for funding.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The funding may be up to <\/span><b>90% of the total project cost.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Eligibility Criteria of Technology Development Fund Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Entity Type<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A public limited company, a private limited company, a partnership firm, a limited liability partnership, a one-person company, or a sole proprietorship registered as per applicable Indian laws registered in India especially MSMEs and Startups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The industry must be <\/span><b>owned and<\/b> <b>controlled by a resident Indian citizen.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An entity with excess of <\/span><b>49 percent foreign investment is not eligible.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Start up<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups must be recognized by the<\/span><b> Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as per Government of India (GOI) guidelines.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups incorporated for less than three years from date of submission of application will be considered as nascent startups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>nascent Startup<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> should be incubated at one of the Central\/State government assisted incubators.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups should not have received any grants\/grants-in-aid by any government scheme for a similar technology.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>startup must be owned and controlled<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by a <\/span><b>Resident Indian citizen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a shareholding of at least
